Moving is usually a stressful ordeal for everybody. A family in California had it a lot worse than most people though.
On Saturday, September 13th, Joe Salgado and his family were packing their belongings for their relocation from Anderson to a new home in Redding. The job quickly came to standstill when they found a 4-foot long Boa constrictor inside the cab of their moving truck.
Joe remarked “We took a break. We had some dinner. I had locked up the van. Came back to do another load. I had been sitting on the snake all day and didn't even know it was there.”
The family picked up the snake and placed it into a trash can. They also contacted animal control employees, who arrived on scene to remove it off the property.
The family suspects the snake had been in the truck for days but is clueless as to where it came from. U-Haul customer service staffers reportedly didn’t believe the Salgado’s story at first but Joe is quick to point out he took photos and snapped video of the snake.
The Boa constrictor is staying at Haven Humane Society for now, but it’s since been placed up for adoption.
