Upma is a common South Indian breakfast dish, cooked as a thick porridge from dry roasted semolina. - Small bowl of uncooked rice
- 1 tsp of pepper
- 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
- 2 tbsp grated coconut
- Dried red chillies
- Salt (according to the taste)
- 1 tsp Black gram (urad dal)
- 1 tsp of Ginger and chillies, chopped
- Hing
- Curry leaves
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
