Fire crews in California continue battling a 1,600-acre brush fire in Silverado Canyon of the Cleveland National Forest.

Mandatory evacuations were ordered Friday evening.

Officials said high temperatures made the fire fight difficult.

The U.S. Forest Service is being assisted by multiple agencies.

Several homes are scattered throughout the remote area, however, no structures have been threatened by the fire, officials said.
