The Founder and Leader of MQM Mr Altaf Hussain has said that we cannot make Pakistan a developed and prosperous state unless we eradicate religious extremism and sectarianism from the country.
Mr Hussain expressed these views on the occasion of 66th death anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
In a statement issued from London he paid great tributes to the founder of Pakistan. He said, “MQM wants to promote religious tolerance and sectarian harmony in the country in order to forge national unity.”
“MQM wants to make Pakistan a democratic, liberal and enlightened country as envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and it wants to establish a society where people of all castes and creeds have the freedom to lead their lives and to pray according to their faiths. MQM wants equal rights for all religious minorities living in Pakistan.”
“It wants to eradicate the scourge of religious extremism and sectarianism from the country. It wants to put Pakistan on the path of development and progress.”
