Some releases have not met the (sometimes)high expectations of the audience and the audience feels ripped off. And to a point, they're right. Especially given the No Mans Sky debacle.
However, if there is a developer you trust or can show conclusive proof of concept and gameplay, you should make your own decision.
I figured Sean Murray was exaggerating about what his small indie team was going to be able to do. So, I saved myself the buyer's remorse. However if CDPR were to announce a magical sequel to KOTOR, my wallet would fucking explode.

My mom is also confined to a wheel chair. She flew to visit me a couple years ago and they lost her on her return flight. My sister went to her scheduled arrival airport and my mom never showed. My sister went bananas trying to figure out how, where, etc.
As it turned out, they left her at the wrong gate during her layover. They wheeled her to a gate, faced her to the wall and left. There she sat (and likely shat) until we realized she was missing, and had someone at the layover airport go look for her. At that point we tried to stay composed enough to get her home - first thing's first. The airline said there were no scheduled flights from the layover airport to the intended arrival airport. I went on google flights and looked at airports within 50 miles, found a flight arriving 30 minutes away and was boarding soon. It took my about 5 minutes, yet the airline company didn't think to do this? I mind melted with anger at their incompetency and imaging my mom staring at the airport wall wondering if anyone will ever come help her.
My mom is much too sick and fragile to ever fuss but my sister and I were so livid. We received vouchers for future flights but honestly we'll never use them - that airline sucks ass.
Fuck you, United.
