Sailors Maritime Academy was established in the year 2004. It is spread over an area of above 10.5 acres in the outskirts of the Port city of Visakhapatnam in a serene environment to cater to the ever growing need for skilled manpower to operate sophisticated Ships. The Academy, is equipped with Modern teaching Aids, Bridge Simulator, hostel and a Semi Olympic Swimming pool to mention a few with dedicated and experienced faculty specialized in the respective field to impart highest quality of training. The location and the infrastructure provide every student with an interesting and vibrant environment for study and training. Right from inception the Academy has obtained the right accreditations, affiliations and approvals to meet the standards. Approval obtained from the Director General of Shipping, Govt. of India for conducting various pre sea and post sea courses and affiliated to Indian Maritime University (a central University established by Govt. of India) for pre sea course.
