It's basically zombie sandbox as you can do whatever the fuck you want in this game if you are allowed too hell you don't even need to beat the mainstory for the game to end.

You don't need a decent DSLR. People were taking gorgeous pictures with cameras that weren't even $500 over 5 years ago. Older DSLRs are cheap now. Unless you're blowing pictures up huge, you don't need 20 mega pixels. Learning to work around constrictions such as ISO or not wide aperatures will just make you a better photographer anyway.
