[] I know this is a dark story but when I worked at Applebees a few years back unfortunately there was a murder/suicide in the restaurant which I vividly remember but right after it took place this older lady stands up out of her booth and cries out "Is this real? I this real?" To which one of my coworkers replied "No lady this is dinner theatre." In his panic. Certainly one of the most random of random occurrences.

[] Worked collision reconstructions for a bit over a year. This is indeed true, when struck by a moving vehicle the person will be knocked out of there shoe. It's a fairly accurate gauge of where they were at the moment of impact.
The shoe isn't cleaned up, fire/ems are concerned about patient care, police are concerned about evidence preservation and the tow truck driver (or whoever cleans up the wreck) just tosses the shoe to the side at the end of it all.
Some fall off those who dangle feet out the window though- silver lining.

[] I worked at a Dollar Tree store as a teenager back in the 90s. There were signs all over the store that said "all items one dollar". Yet people constantly asked me how much things cost. I would reply that every item in the store cost one dollar. Then they would pick something up and ask "but what about this"?
