The complex subject of love will be explored on Broadway, as celebrated playwright, Tom Stoppard's "The Real Thing" returns to the stage.

Although a veteran of the stage, actor Ewan McGregor will make his Broadway debut in the production.

SOUNDBITE: Ewan McGregor, actor, saying (English):

"You're going to see a play that explores huge themes like love and partnership and fidelity, infidelity. But it's a simple story if you like. I think there is an idea that it might be a very complicated play to follow but it's not."

Tony award winning actress and veteran of the great white way, Cynthia Nixon grew up in the play.

SOUNDBITE: Cynthia Nixon, actress, saying:

"I was in the original Broadway production of it playing a character, a teenage character who is Ewan character's Henry's daughter. And so it's 31 years later and I'm now playing that character's mother. So I know the play very well."

The original cast won the Tony Award for best play in 1982
