[] Well, when I lived in Saudi we have a large restaurant in my compound. One delivery guy dropped his hat, look back at it, yelled at my friends and I we could keep it and drove off.

[] It's actually an awesome store concept. I hadn't been to a dollar store in a few years until recently, and I was really impressed when I did go into one. Now they carry laundry detergent, folding chairs, carpets, all kinds of stuff you would never expect at a dollar store because not everything is a dollar anymore.
So before they were very limited in what they could stock and still make a profit on, now you have people going in to buy cheap stuff for a dollar and then finding higher priced items that are still way cheaper than they'd find anywhere else.
So they make a lot more money per sale than they probably used to and customers are more likely to come back if they can buy staple home items for cheap there.

[] When i was a teenager, our gas was turned off all the time. Turns out my dad paid every single bill online except for gas because the gas company didn't have onlike payments yet. So we'd just come home to a tag on the door saying the gas was off.
The dumbass never checked his mail. Seriously, he would go a month without opening the mailbox, then he would scoop everything out and into a new box in the house. Finally i went through his shit and found tons of bright red envelopes from the gas company warning about late payments. I'm not sure why he never remembered to look in the mail after getting the gas disconnected so many times.
