Dr. Rick Sacra, a 51-year-old physician and the latest missionary worker to be infected with Ebola while working in Liberia, arrived on Friday (September 5) morning in Omaha, Nebraska, where he'll be treated at the Nebraska Medical Center.
Sacra had been delivering babies and working with patients who were not known to have the deadly virus, the Christian organization SIM USA said. It had not yet determined how he contracted the disease.
On Thursday, a Reuters cameraman in Monrovia, Liberia saw Sacra, wearing a white protective overall, step out of the car that brought him to the tarmac. He walked onto the aircraft.
