Market Exiles? Education is a big deal in Argentina. It was the first country in Latin America to have mandatory primary school education. As early as 1882 a law was passed declaring education to be free, public, and secular. Many students from other South American countries come to Argentina to take advantage of its high regard for education and to persue their studies. This program tells their stories.
