A very somber-looking cat now has a reason to enjoy life. Tucker, the so-called ‘sad-faced cat’ has found her forever home.

The feline was born with a genetic abnormality that gives her an unusual appearance, most notably the droopy eyes. Tucker became famous online after she arrived at the nonprofit care shelter, Purrfect Pals in Washington.

Once her pictures hit the web, the kitty’s sorrowful expression started melting hearts. She was soon deemed the ‘world’s saddest cat’ and it wasn’t long before she found a new owner.

The executive direct of Purrfect Pals remarked “On the day that she was adopted I felt so bad for the adopter, because every single person at the shelter had to come in and say goodbye and hug her and -- she's such a sweet little cat.”

Her new family will have to provide special care for Tucker. In addition to the facial abnormality, she also has a paw deformity due to missing bones in her front legs. Her claw position is abnormal, and when she gets excited she runs the risk of dislocating joints.

Despite all that, her owner, Katie Fox who is a veterinary assistant says Tucker is adjusting well to her new home and has bonded with Fox’s other cat Poe who has similar issues.
