Stefan Edberg & Roger Federer - Two examples of transition game

In this video, we put together two hot shots by Stefan Edberg and Roger Federer to highlight the new similarities in the transition game between the Swiss and his idol who has become his coach this year.

In the first part of the video, Stefan turns his defensive action into an offensive one thanks to an anticipated forehand passing that forces his opponent Michael Chang to play a tough volley leaving the court open for an easy backhand solution by Edberg.

In the second part, Federer counterattacks taking advantage of a poor volley by his opponent Vasek Pospisil, opens the court with a sliced backhand and puts away an easy forehand volley.

Uncharacteristically, they both use their weaker shot to reverse the action, but they have in common an excellent footwork and anticipation of the opponent's moves.
