Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said on Friday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif lied in the parliament about asking Army Chief to mediate and therefore should resign immediately, Dunya News reported.
He referred to Nawaz Sharif as pharaoh saying that this is the only way this ‘pharaoh will go’.
Addressing the ‘Azadi March’ participants, Imran Khan saif that he had told the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) that he cannot talk to Nawaz Sharif because he always lies.
Imran Khan warned PTI’s parliamentarians who haven’t submitted resignations to resign by this evening or they will be kicked out of the party.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had claimed under oath today (Friday) that the government did not ask the army chief to mediate, and that it was PTI chief Imran Khan and Pakistan AwamiTehreek (PAT) chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri who wanted to meet the army chief.
Director General (DG) Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) revealed only minutes ago through a tweet that it was the government who had asked the army chief to play ‘facilitative role’ to solve the political crisis.
