The launch of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's next film Kick 2 turned out to be a star-studded affair. Stylish Star Allu Arjun directed the opening shot of the film for which NTR Jr gave the clap and Ravi Teja switched on the camera. The film was launched at 8:43 am on Wednesday morning at the Ramanaidu Studios. Filmmakers Boyapati Srinu and Koratala Siva were also present at the event.
A sequel to the 2009 blockbuster Kick, the film is being directed by Surrender Reddy who directed the original which was remade in Hindi recently starring Salman Khan in the lead. Actor Kalyan Ram is producing the movie under his home banner NTR Arts. The filmmakers are in the process of finalising a leading lady for the movie.
Thamann is composing the music for the film touted to be an action entertainer. The makers went on to announce the release date for the film as well. The film is scheduled to hit the screens next summer on May 28, 2015.
