Rising classical music star releases a new summer album

Just a year after reaching number one in the charts, a rising star of the classical music world is bringing out a new album.

Amy Dickson is a classical saxophonist and she's looking to capture the vibe of a 1960s summer in the south of France with 'A Summer Place'

SOUNDBITE (English) Musician, Amy Dickson, saying:

"For me, I just thought that the most amazing, summery setting would be in the south of France in the 1960s, you know, by a pool, really, hair down properly and in a gown, you know, and so we were really kind of inspired by that setting and tried to find a sound world that would capture that."

It's been a successful few years for the Australian.

She's played at the Sydney Opera House and she's shown off her talents at the Royal Albert Hall.

She's also picked-up a classic Brit award and seen her last album 'Dusk and Dawn' rise to number one in the charts.
