Jackie Chan's son Jaycee and Taiwanese actor Kai Ko have been detained by Beijing police on suspicion of drug use, according to media reports.
State broadcaster CCTV released footage of the pair with Kai Ko acknowleging that a urine sample is his, while Jaycee Chan is seen identifying marijuana and another drug.
While Jaycee, whose father is a goodwill spokesperson for the China Anti-Drug Committee, issued a statement through his agent, actor Kai Ko went on camera to make an apology to the public.
SOUNDBITE Taiwanese actor Kai Ko, saying (Mandarin):
"Actually, I really regret it. And I really apologise to all those who support me, or like me, and even to those I know, and say to them, I'm really sorry. I've set the worst example, and have been the worst influence."
Jaycee Chan and Kai Ko are among a number of celebrities targeted by Chinese law enforcement agencies as part of anti-drugs campaigns.
