The new Miss Texas has proved that not everybody is a great pitcher. 22-year-old Monique Evans made an appearance at Friday’s Angels-Rangers game in North Texas to toss out the ceremonial first pitch.
The new Miss Texas has proved that not everybody is a great pitcher. 22-year-old Monique Evans made an appearance at Friday’s Angels-Rangers game in North Texas to toss out the ceremonial first pitch.
Instead of sticking to a traditional throw, she did a unique over arm, underarm, windmill-type pitch while stretching out her leg to showcase her ballerina skills.
Her moves were pretty good but the fact that the ball didn’t go near the catcher’s glove took the impressive factor down a notch. The ball hit the ground just a few feet in front of her and rolled far to the side.
The Rangers' coach, who was going to receive the ball, looked slightly confused when it completely missed the intended target.
Given that the toss wasn’t exactly fantastic, she’s been getting the brunt of quite a few jokes. Many say that Evans is in the running for tossing out the ‘worst pitch ever’.
However, she can take comfort in knowing Mariah Carey and 50 Cent have showcased some horrible throws as well.
