The violence of Wednesday night's protests in Ferguson, Missouri, has put the city under a spotlight, more intense now than when they began four nights ago.
With police firing tear gas and clashing with protesters, racial tensions have soared following the police shooting death of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown.

"It's a powder keg and we all recognize that. That's why we're going to try to facilitate the protests tonight and we hope the protesters will recognize that we're trying to facilitate to help everyone bring this down, bring all the tensions down."
Ferguson says the police are reviewing their tactics, following fierce criticism from several quarters, including the White House.
At a news conference, President Barack Obama called on both police and protesters to scale back.
