Anybody/Anypony who knows me knows I love to play puzzle games, and this game is no exception. What's funny is that while I grew up playing the US counterpart known as "Tetris Attack!", there was another ver. of this game, one that was only made in Japan (and maybe some parts of Europe as well) called "Panel de Pon". Technically speaking, these two games are one in the same, but there are also some differences found in each of them, and that's why I'll be showcasing both titles. Hope you all enjoy!
""When Flowers Bloom, the power of Fairies works..." Ladies and Gentlemen, we shall all be taking a look at both Panel de Pon for the SFC and Tetris Attack! for the SNES. Right now, we'll be focusing on Panel de Pon's storyline (I would've said gameplay, but they're essentially both the same game so they'll each have the same gameplay features as the other).
There are two 1-Player Modes that I'll tinker with: Stage Clear and Vs. Stage Clear (as far as Storyline/Plot goes) takes place before the events of Vs. Mode (at least I believe that's how it is since there are new fairies you run into in Vs Mode.) Stage Clear introduces you to our first group of Faires: Lip of Flowers, Windy of Wind, Thiana of Forest, Elias of Water, Flare of Fire and Selene of Moon.
The main goal in Stage Clear is to stay alive long enough to get all blocks below the Clear Line and ultimately defeat the King of Demons: Thanatos. Along the way, we'll meet new friends and face our ultimate enemy. But of course, every story must have a beginning, and that's where this part takes place. While we look through these two games, tell me if you prefer the American counterpart TA, or if these videos persuade you to enjoy PdP even more so. Put your thinking caps on, and enjoy Panel de Pon and Tetris Attack!
[NOTE] Stages 1 and 2 will sound terrible because of a lack of commentary, so don't bitch about that, because I just did."
