56 minutes and 24 seconds. Monday, August 11, 2014 in Tucson, United States of America. The Protection Network Coalition held a rally in front of the Tucson Police Department to deliver a letter to chief of Tucson police Villaseñor that requests police stop summoning Border Patrol. This event was organized after Tucson Police pulled over Norlan Prado the day before after making a wide turn. He did not have a valid driver's license and allegedly admitted to being in the U.S. illegally. Police then proceeded to enforce Senate Bill 1070, which requires police to summon Border Patrol if reason to believe that a subject is in the United States of America illegally is found in the course of enforcing other laws. During that traffic stop, protesters came and tried to stop the arrest.
The rally called for police to stop enforcing SB1070 and to release those arrested due to the bill.
