The bodies of five French mountaineers have been found on Mont Blanc in France.

The climbers and their guide had been reported missing in bad weather.

Rescuers are continuing to search for the guide who is still missing on the mountain range in eastern France.

The group of climbers are believed to be trainee instructors from France’s UCPA organisation, which runs outdoor sports holidays for young people.

Six other climbers lost their lives in the Mont Blanc in just two weeks last month: two Irishmen, two Finnish climbers, a German and a Frenchman.
