The Shikra with its prey!

Where there are birds nesting and weak hatchlings there will be predators. Barely had this warbler chick made its way out into the big bad world that it ended up as a meal for an alert Shikra nearby. Shikras are adaptive birds of prey and feel equally at home in thick Shivalik forests as they do close to urban centres.
