A cop in Kansas City certainly isn’t afraid to show off his dance moves. On Sunday, the East Patrol officer jumped around and showcased a few twirls in front of a young crowd.

After he was done, the cop challenged the kids to show him their moves. The makeshift dance-off took place right in the middle of the street.

A local resident recorded footage of the cop and children. The kids busted out some of their own moves but it seemed as though they were a little more hesitant to go crazy in public.

The officer wasn’t nearly as shy. He didn’t mind getting down.

At one point, he was so into showing off, he didn’t notice a car was trying to get past him. A female cop had to get his attention to point out the vehicle and make him stop dancing and move towards the side.

Once the car cruised by, the officer got right back to dancing in the street. The Kansas City Police Department shared the dance-off video on Facebook.

An accompany caption read “We love this video one of our followers shot… Maybe we'll start including dancing as a course at the Academy, because it sure looks like we could use it “
