Large Cabbage White or Grass Yellow? Please help us identify the butterflies featured in this beautiful little stream-side swarm in Ziro valley, Arunachal Pradesh, India.

Very rare and spectacular species of butterflies can be spotted in the even more spectacular Ziro valley. It is here that the extremely rare Bhutan Glory was spotted in Talley Valley reserve, some 40 odd kms away from the main valley. This flock of butterflies was spotted near a stream in Siro Village.

Ziro is situated in Lower Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh, 167 kms from the capital Itanagar. It can be reached via road from Guwahati or Dibrugarh towns in Assam.

Just 167km from the capital, Itanagar, Ziro is one of the oldest towns in Arunachal Pradesh. Situated in a valley, it is at a height of over 5500 feet above sea level, with a beautiful view of the mountains that surround it.
