A gaze at the Imphal War cemetery.
The War Cemeteries are located about 10 km from the city on the Imphal-Dimapur Road on highway number 39 of the Deulahland District in Imphal. The city of Imphal has a distinct history of being the land of war and over the years, it has experienced many hostilities and confrontations. The War Cemeteries are a living proof of those brutalities.
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is the organisation, who managed to build the War Cemeteries. The cemetery is an attempt to honour thousands of people who lost their lives during the Second World War and the revolt against the British.
