Traffic Madness at Delhi Airport Arrivals

2014-08-12 11

A GMR Airport Delhi Police crane announces to cars to move aside so that the main road in front of arrivals can be decongested, but passengers arrive off their flights, as they do, and they must exit the airport to reach their vehicles. So what is the solution? How are you to reach your vehicle when everything is so chaotic and there is no proper meeting area for arrivals?

A number of Kali Peeli or black-and-yellow Ambassador and Maruti van taxis line up, waiting to reach passengers. Indians and foreigners must stand outside the Arrivals section at Indira Gandhi International Airport T3 Terminal, New Delhi, waiting with all their travel luggage, waiting for either their own cars or a taxi to take them home!
