To celebrate cultural heritage and mark the World Heritage Day the Archaeological Survey of India organised a public exhibition at Purana Qila to showcase their excavation site. The exhibition gave Delhiiites an opportunity to view history being dig out of the Purana Qila. Many Mughal period clay potteries, coins, bangles and other household items were discovered during the excavation. This is the third excavation at Purana Qila after 1950s and 1970s.
