BBMF Lancaster Flypast at former WW2 RAF Bomber Command base North Killingholme North Lincs. Sat 5th July 2014.This marked the 70th Anniversary of the Squadron's arrival & commencement of Lancaster operations from the base.As in previous years surviving members of 550 were joined by family & friends to mark the occasion & to remember all who flew from North Killingholme or were involved with the Squadron's operations. This video is posted for my uncle Roy Harris & his family & friends gathering today for his 90th Birthday in Tucson AZ. Roy was a navigator in the Jock Shaw crew Lancaster ED905 /BQ-F ("Fox"), "Press on Regardless", when he flew on his first mission from North Killingholme he was 19 years old. He couldn't make it over this year & we can't make it to Tucson to be with a remarkable man on his 90th birthday so this video is our link to him & to mark how much he is in our thoughts. http://www.550squadronassociation.org.uk/original-site-archive/lib/image074.jpg
