Steven Silverman, founder and CEO of MED-CARE Diabetic and Medical Supplies, Inc., interviewed at the "One Shot Away" event at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX. MED-CARE hosted 50 children living with diabetes and their families at a Dallas Mavericks game on November 22, 2013. Each attendee received a "One Shot Away" t-shirt and the children had the opportunity to make a shot on the basketball court after the game. The children and families who attended "One Shot Away" were recognized for their contributions and support of the American Diabetes Association's School Walk to Stop Diabetes, an educational fundraiser that promotes healthy lifestyles, research advocacy and education efforts.
"We were happy to donate 200 tickets to children in the Dallas community," said Steven Silverman, founder and CEO of MED-CARE Diabetic and Medical Supplies, Inc. "We're also donating a year's worth of diabetic testing supplies to the community."
