Instead of windows, Technicon Design's IXION private jet will offer panoramic exterior views.

How important is the window seat? Instead of small, oval-shaped windows, this new jet concept offers panoramic in-flight views. Created by the Technicon Design France team, the IXION is a windowless private jet.
Cameras are mounted on the fuselage and wings, offering passengers a real-time view of the sky on screens covering the cabin's walls.

According to Gareth Davies, design director at Technicon's French studio, "...the user experience is greatly enhanced by directly engaging the passengers with the environment outside, giving an unhindered panoramic view."

The unique design also reduces the weight of the jet and simplifies construction.

Solar panels will be on the upper front half of the exterior, providing power to the low-voltage systems on board.

The jet also features parallax barrier technology, enabling multiple displays on a single screen.

Other features include in flight video conferencing, gesture driven environment control and endless choices for interior ambiance.

The windowless jet design won the Exterior design category at the 2014 International Yacht & Aviation Awards.
