Altaf Hussain tells govt not to make big deal out of 'Azadi March'
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said that the government should get some tonic for its nerves and calm down so that there is no bloodshed and matters can be dealt with in a civil manner, adding that the consequences of agitation will not be pretty.
While addressing the parliamentary session at Khursheed Begum Hall, Hussain said that the government has put fabricated charges upon MQM, adding that they will take revenge when they get the chance.
He said that they have no grievances with the lawyers community so the lawyers should concede otherwise there will be severe consequences.
MQM chief further commented that Gullu Butt smashed cars ruthlessly and he is not from amongst them. He said that the country is currently facing a political crisis and that the government should stop trying to obstruct the path of the long march as they themselves have done it in the past.
