Altaf Hussain tells govt not to make big deal out of 'Azadi March'

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said that the ‎government should get some tonic for its nerves and calm down so that there is no bloodshed and ‎matters can be dealt with in a civil manner, adding that the consequences of agitation will not be ‎pretty.‎

While addressing the parliamentary session at Khursheed Begum Hall, Hussain said that the ‎government has put fabricated charges upon MQM, adding that they will take revenge when they get ‎the chance.‎

He said that they have no grievances with the lawyers community so the lawyers should concede ‎otherwise there will be severe consequences.‎

MQM chief further commented that Gullu Butt smashed cars ruthlessly and he is not from amongst ‎them. He said that the country is currently facing a political crisis and that the government should stop ‎trying to obstruct the path of the long march as they themselves have done it in the past.‎
