The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a preliminary enquiry in the National Herald case. Sources said that the enquiry will assess whether a case can be made out. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has alleged cheating and misappropriation of funds in the acquisition of the daily by Young India. Congress has however alleged political vendetta in the case.
