Terry Morgan suspected his dog had something to do with his $850 watch going missing. His suspicions were confirmed when he heard a ringing sound go off from inside Charlie’s stomach.

Most dogs aren’t picky when it's time to chow down and they will resort to munching on their owner's belongings. Terry Morgan’s pooch certainly doesn’t seem to mind swallowing something inedible.

Morgan suspected something was up when his $850 watch went missing. After a few searches turned up nothing, the now-retired pub owner from Devon, UK thought his Newfoundland named Charlie had a role in the disappearance of the timepiece.

His suspicions were confirmed when he heard a ringing sound go off from inside Charlie’s stomach. That noise turned out to be an alarm that Morgan had pre-set.

He explained “The watch was always set to go off at ten-fifty-five to remind me to call last orders. Luckily, I'd never bothered to change it.”

He immediately brought the pooch to the vet, where an emergency operation was scheduled to remove it. The surgery was going to cost double the amount of the timepiece, but when Charlie spotted the anesthetic needle, he howled and vomited up the watch, negating the need for any procedure.

Morgan did have to shell out a hefty sum of money for Charlie’s x-rays, but everyone was left having a good chuckle at the bizarre ordeal.
