Bio:
I thought making it onto a cooking reality show would be my ticket to culinary fame, but that whole experience was a disappointment. Since then I have quit my job in a commercial kitchen and decided to start making my own cooking show, QUICK MEALS. This is episode 13.
Home is where the heart is, and good food brings family and friends together around the table. That's what I'm all about and that's what I want QUICK MEALS to be all about.
I bought my turtleneck from a second-hand store to build a fondue party motif. I was supposed to be the host and all my Taste Buds were invited to sit around that bubbling cauldron of cheese. In reality, it was close to 90 degrees Fahrenheit and the fabric combined with the stress caused me to break out in hives. I'm applying a topical cortisone ointment every few hours and it does seem to be helping, but these hives are the latest reminder that no matter how hard I try, everything I do seems to turn out poorly.
Talking about my dad is difficult enough when it isn't close to Father's Day. Combine that with opening up about my bullying in Illinois and the financial and sexual bamboozling I suffered in Arkansas and it has me in a fragile emotional state.
Recipe:
Start off by cutting your clove of garlic in half and rub each half on the inside surface of your fondue pot. Then turn your fondue pot onto medium heat (or if it has a cheese setting, set it to that). Then pour in your wine and vegetable broth.
Shred, grate, or cut your Fontina Cheese into small cubes. Then toss your small pieces of cheese in a tablespoon of corn starch.
Once your wine and broth mixture begin to boil begin adding one handful of cheese at a time. Stir until smooth and then add your next handful of cheese. After all your cheese has been added and mixed, give your fondue a taste. If you want more PAP, add some white pepper (I like about 5 dashes).
Enjoy your Fontina Fondue with some crusty bread and veggies, or whatever kind of delightful dippers you desire. This molten cheese is another quick and delicious meal sure to make your taste buds PAP!
