crash site, again
Dutch and Australian police forensic teams, attempting to secure the crash site of the downed Malaysian Airlines flight MH17, have abandoned plans to visit the scene due to heavy fighting in the area.
The international investigation team en route to the fields where the plane came down stopped in the town of Shakhtarsk as fighting between Ukrainian government forces and pro-Russian separatists raged.
It comes as Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte called on Ukranian President Petro Porochenko to end the violence around the crash site.
The Australian and Dutch foreign ministers are in Kyiv to add weight to the growing global irritation at the chaos surrounding the site.
All 298 people on board the aircraft, most of them Dutch and Australian, lost their lives.
