A bus full of students arrives for a criminal trial in South Korea.
They're the ones who made it out alive from the sinking Sewol ferry, one of the country's worst maritime disasters in history.
They walked into the courthouse amid tight security.
The students will testify from this room during the trial of the ferry crew.
The Sewol sank on April 16, killing 304 people. Many of them were students the same high school on a class trip.
The 15 crew members are accused of crimes ranging from homicide to negligence. They abandoned ship while telling passengers to stay on the sinking vessel.
Video footage of their escape triggered outrage across the country. And with all the public emotion surrounding the trial, this court faces a difficult task of balancing the desire for revenge with the need for justice.
