President Obama’s motorcade caused the closure of the road that runs in front of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and a woman in labor got stuck on the wrong side of the barricades.
President Obama’s recent fundraising tour in Los Angeles caused a lot of street closures.
Unfortunately, one of them was the road that runs near Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a woman allegedly in labor got stuck on the wrong side of the barricades.
The president’s motorcade was scheduled to soon pass through, so that meant no one, not even women about to give birth, was allowed to cross its planned path.
An officer on the scene was interviewed and gave assurances that as soon as the president’s group passed an ambulance would be called.
While she waited, the mother-to-be sat on a bus stop bench a few hundred feet from the hospital.
A photo of her appearing to be talking with two people in scrubs was tweeted, but it was unclear what level of assistance, if any, they provided.
Witnesses say the pregnant woman was stuck there for somewhere around 30 minutes.
Many were upset to hear about the incident. Jim Treacher from the Daily Caller commented, “Sorry, lady, but King Barry had yet another fundraiser to attend. You should’ve thought of that before you decided to punish yourself with a baby.”
