Facebook Page '530 Fatties' Targets Overweight People

Residents in several California cities are left fuming over a vile Facebook page that was created to mock overweight locals.

A Facebook page called 530 Fatties was put up with the apparent sole intention of harassing overweight people in California’s 530 area code.

Several individuals from both Sutter and Yuba counties were, without their permission or prior knowledge, featured in the photographs that were posted.

Many of the images were captured while the people were out in public, unaware at the time that their pictures were being taken.

One of the individuals targeted by the page’s creator is Jessi Lynn Howell, an 18-year-old from the area.

She said that the image of her that was used was taken in October when she was 50 pounds heavier.

Although she feels great about the number of pounds she’s taken off, she’s still quite upset about her inclusion on 530 Fatties.

Howell said, “It’s really hurtful and it’s really embarrassing.”

The page has since been taken down, but efforts to locate its creator have yielded no results as much of the contact information given was either fabricated or is no longer working.
