An attorney and journalist in Jordan recently got into a scuffle while cameras were rolling. The two men were being filmed for a local TV program.

They had been discussing Syrian president Bashar Al Assad when things got heated. Lawyer Saleh Khrais made it known he was in the president's corner.

He told journalist Shaker Al Gowhari he supported Al Assad and said he is ‘a symbol leading his nation’. Al Gowhari, however, didn’t agree with that sentiment and was very clear he wasn’t a fan of some of the president’s decisions.

It didn’t take long for their verbal argument to escalate. Khrais was speaking when an object was thrown in his direction. Moments later, Gowhari got out of his seat. Gowhari picked up a chair and hurled it towards his rival.

Fortunately, once both men were separated, things seemed to calm down.

This isn’t the first time a discussion turned sour on Jordanian television. In 2012, parliament member Mohammed Shawabka pulled out a gun on Mansour Murad on live TV, following an accusation filled argument.
