Ronnie and Jeanette Haislip’s hen recently laid six eggs, and two remained solid after the other four had already hatched. Ronnie heard a faint chirp coming from one of the remaining eggs, and guessed that the chick inside was not strong enough to peck its way out. With some help from Ronnie, the chick was welcomed into the world. The Haislips, who are animal rescuers in Tennessee, said that the chick was still alive and well the next morning.
