STORY: The world of sports and showbiz collided at the star-studded 2014 ESPY awards, which showcases the best in sports, on Wednesday (July 16).
Award-winning Canadian rapper Drake hosted the 22nd edition of the event at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, while Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel and Jessica Alba injected more glitz and glamour into the evening by taking on the role of presenters.
Highlights included 2014 Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks, scooping the award for Best Team, while NFL draftee Michael Sam was honored with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. Sam, who is the first openly gay player to be drafted by the NFL, was presented the award by actor Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
