A dashcam recently captured an altercation between a Miami police officer and a police lieutenant.
“Two of their own get into a fight on the side of a highway. It happened a few weeks ago when Officer Marcel Jackson pulled a driver over for speeding. [Via WPTV]
He approached the vehicle and shortly after the car door swung open.
Jackson can be seen using his arm to force the driver up against the frame.
The two struggled, and Jackson eventually pinned the man to the ground.
That’s when the driver shouted, “You do know who the *bleep* I am.”
Jackson replied that he did not.
It turns out the man who had been pulled over is Lieutenant David Ramras, also of the Miami PD.
Jackson has since been suspended with pay and Ramras has been reassigned while the matter is being investigated.
Among the questions needing answers is why Jackson had a dashcam in his car as they are not standard equipment in Miami patrol vehicles. Use of personal equipment is forbidden.
The State Attorney is reviewing testimony and will determine if charges should be filed.
