Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) came on the streets today to protest against the continuous disruption of electricity. Under the headship of Pervaiz Khattak, the protestors forced opened the gates and entered Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) Headquarters. The sequence of these worst power outages has put people’s tolerance to test, Dunya News reported.
Politicians also are in grave anguish on the situation. Protesters raised slogans against loadshedding while forcibly entering the premises of PEPCO.
Addressing the procession, Pervaiz Khattak threatened Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) to mend its ways before they deprive them off the provided security. He further stated, “People of KPK are not involved in power theft, Abid Sher Ali should keep his mouth shut and put the evaders of WAPDA in jail.”
