ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION
Time lapse video filmed on the second day of the historic salvage operation to remove the wreck of the Costa Concordia shows how much the cruise liner has moved away from shore.
Filmed from 0900 (0700GMT) on Tuesday (July 15) morning, until 1800 (1600GMT) the video shows the Concordia zigzagging away from the shore and slightly tilting away from the Giglio island coastline.
Work on Wednesday (July 16) is expected to level out the ship by lowering the sponsons on the damaged side of the vessel.
Air is pumped into the sponsons or watertight boxes, forcing water out and allowing the Concordia to float higher out of the water.
The 114,500 tonne vessel needs to be raised a further ten metres out of the water before the ship can be towed away to the port of Genoa to be scrapped.
The cruise liner struck rocks and partially sank in January 2012.
