Greenhouse gas, carbon dioxide, is one of the main reasons for the acidification of the world's oceans. A quarter of carbon dioxide emissions -- more than two billion tonnes of the gas -- are absorbed by the oceans each year, according to marine scientists from the International Programme on the State of the Ocean (IPSO).VIDEOGRAPHIC
