A disputed presidential election has stirred ethnic tensions in Afghanistan.
In hopes of resolving the deepening crisis, U.S. Secretary of State has a trip planned for Friday.
He's been in touch with the candidates, as well as President Karzai, several times.

The June 14th second-round run-off put Ashraf Ghani in the lead.
Something Abdullah Abdullah rejects. His aides have threatened to form an alternative administration.
But despite political chaos, Afghans are divided on U.S. intervention.
