Few things are more frustrating than an unexpected flight delay.

A pilot for Frontier Airlines recently ordered pizza for travelers to lessen the nuisance of a lengthy postponement. On Monday, Frontier Airlines Flight 719 departed from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport an hour behind schedule.

It was bound for Denver, but weather issues forced the plane to venture over Nebraska. Not long after that, the aircraft became low on fuels, so the pilot had to land at Cheyenne Regional Airport in Wyoming.

“The pilot, Gerhard Bradner said he was hungry when the plane touched down so he decided to call Dominos and instead of eating that pie all to himself, he ordered 50 pizzas, enough for the whole plane.” [Via KUSA]

Passenger Logan Marie Torres claimed the pilot said “Ladies and gentleman, Frontier Airlines is known for being one of the cheapest airlines in the US, but your captain is not cheap. I just ordered pizza for the entire plane.”

The plane was eventually able to take off and land at Denver International Airport about 5 hours after its scheduled time.
