Boutros Boutros-Ghali, who was the UN’s 6th Secretary General, comments regional conflicts in Iraq, Syria, Egypt, South Sudan in the light of his experience at the head of the world body from 1992 to 1996. He also explains how disappointed he is not to have had the opportunity to reform the UN, which he believes would have been necessary after the end of the Cold War.
